Vassula and her companion Hildegard Panayotas
landed by plane in Zurich after having spent two days
in Genève, Switzerland with relatives of Vassula’s.
Because of the difficult situation in Greece regarding
strikes at the airport and in the whole country due
to the economic situation there, Vassula made the
decision to start to travel in advance on Tuesday the
18th October instead of Thursday the 20th. If she had
not left when she did, she would not have been able
to get to Austria and Germany for the meetings.
Heinrich Jochum - one of our prayer group members -
had the pleasure to be their driver from the Airport in
Zurich to the Swiss Franziskan Monastery “Tübach”
in Rorschach, Switzerland, near the Austrian Border.
This is where our Swiss TLIG-Friends with Astrid
Eisenring have their weekly TLIG-Prayer group and
have Eucharistic Adoration during the TLIG Prayer!
Astrid showed Vassula a wonderful Roman Catholic
church painted inside in a Byzantine Style. The
Swiss prayer group was very helpful in helping and
preparing the organisation of Vassula’s talk inWestern
Austria at the Lake of Constance near Bregenz, our
local Capital. In fact, we were organizing it as two
prayerg roups in unity across the borders. After that
short stop, Heini drove with his guests to the Hotel in
Bregenz, Austria, where the translator, Judith Gruber
and I were waiting for the two ladies with flowers in
our hands. Later while enjoying dinner, we discussed
the program for the two following days.
Friday, 21st of Oct. 2011
On Friday morning at 10.00 am we had a meeting
with clergy in Bregenz at the Hotel where Vassula
and Hildegard stayed. Five priests from Switzerland,
four priests fromAustria and a nun from Switzerland
participated in this meeting. There were some special
questions from the protestant brothers and sisters re-
garding the receiving of the Holy Eucharist, especial-
ly during the pilgrimages of TLIG. In response, we
reminded them of the actions of Cardinal Josef Ratz-
inger, who during the funeral of John Paul II gave the
Holy Eucharist to a Protestant. A welcome addition
to this meeting was Fr. Rolf Maria Reichle who was
very helpful in presenting TLIG, the messages, and
Vassula. In general, this meeting was a very interest-
ing and intensive one!
In the afternoon we originally had our media meeting
but none of the approximately 15 personally invited
journalists came! This had also occurred in Berlin;
there also nobody came. According to Vassula, this
is a sign of ignorance, stubbornness and the great
apostasy! So we took a little walk on the mountain
above Bregenz, the “Pfänder”, which we “climbed”
by a cable-liner. Vassula and Hildegard very much
appreciated the panorama of the Lake of Constance,
the mountains surrounding, and also the coffee and
“Vanille-Strudel” from an Austrian Mountain-Res-
taurant.
Saturday, October 22nd
About 350 people from Germany, Switzerland and
Austria came to the meeting in the “Hofsteig-Hall” in
Lauterach near Bregenz.
At 8am, our TLIG priest Fr. Rolf-Maria Reichle
celebrated Holy Mass in the Hofsteig-Hall for the
staff crew and some interested persons. It was very
special because it was the first time that the “newly
beatified” John Paul II was commemorated (the
Beatification took place on 01.05. 2011 through Pope
Benedict XVI). It was exactly the 33rd anniversary of
the Pope’s inauguration!
After mass, the TLIG meeting was due to start
at 10am and so from 9am we followed Vassula’s
proposal to start with the new DVD from Antonis
Tectonidis about “Prophecies”. This was the perfect
introduction for Vassula’s talk because this is exactly
what she spoke about!
As a “farewell present”
I gave Vassula a special
Rosary with relics of St.
Faustyna and the Blessed
F. Michal Sopocko, her
counsellor. She smiled
and said: “A Rosary of
that kind I gave once to
an Anglican Archbishop
who told me that he
“won`t be able to pray
the Rosary because he
would not own one”. St.
Faustyna made him pray
the Rosary.....”.
