My friends, members of my own famly. ...etc.
I CANT reason with them about faith and how important it is. Nor can I on moral issues.

I turmed to TLIG and here is Gods answer to that thorny problem:

Quote:
My poor and wretched instrument, grow in My Love; I am He who adopts you, so be in My Love and grow in My Love; you will eat out of My Riches to reveal Me and glorify Me; blessed of My Soul, write:

where there is mistrust and rational thinking there is also arguing and contention; this sort of people intellectually are living in darkness and are estranged from the Spirit's Works; daughter, they have not yet perceived My Beauty ....

I have chosen your heart, My child, to become My Tablet upon which I would write My Love Song to all My children; I made out of you a Hymn of Love; My words are not printed only; My words on you are alive and are Spirit; I have given you sound teaching;

do not worry about those who come to you with unending arguments and with a craze for questioning everything and arguing about words; these people are the prey to the Tempter and are allowing the Tempter, by giving him a foothold, to get trapped into ambitions; lay your hands upon these people and bless them: "in the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit;" you will honour Me and glorify Me;

thank God a million times in Heaven and on earth fro true life in God

Hi Radhe,

You can't reason with them because the solution to the problem does not lie in the the realm of reasoned argument. A particular type of society is forming up around us, one in which people are deaf and blind to words about God and Faith, and impervious to the mention of the name Jesus Christ. This is true of the modern world, what you might call the 'old' Christian world.

It is certainly not true of newly Christianising countries like China: there, the 'old' way of evangelizing, which includes the use of reasoned argument, bears much fruit, with huge numbers of people embracing the Faith. Look at the vast numbers of people who turn out to hear Vassula in India, for example.

But a post-Christian society is not like a pre-Christian society. A post-Christian society does not lapse back into 'paganism', it becomes something else.

Quote:
These people are prey to the Tempter and are allowing the Tempter, by giving him a foothold, to trap them into ambitions...

They can't see the Tempter, they can't see the traps he sets for them:

"...in front of me, blocking the way....was a snake. I thanked God for letting me see it, because it was transparent, like cellophane, so that people do not see it and step on it, and are bitten."
(January 29 1989)

"...the traps that Satan sets are so cunningly disguised that souls fall instantly inside them, completely unaware that they have even fallen..."
(January 19 1990)

Well, in these circumstance we can't use reasoned argument, although we can always give it a try when the opportunity presents itself, but it's better not to push it and end up in a passionate argument, I think. There are two things we can do. One, don't lose hope, keep those around you in your prayer, which really means, make room for them in your heart, don't give up on them, and simply carry them, lightly, on your heart. Be prepared, if need be, to carry them all your life. This, if done properly, is an 'easy' yoke, a light burden, as Christ tells us. It's His work. It's what He does, for all of us, and He gives us a share in the work.

Two, keep close to Christ, follow Him, and do as He says. Only in Him, can we do that sort of thing 'properly'. Outside of Christ, the work becomes entirely impossible since a human acting alone, does not even have the strength to 'carry' himself through life without cracking under the strain. But in Christ, what is impossible, becomes possible.

"...if souls only listened to Me and would pray more often and feel My Presence more often, talking to Me as their companion, or praying to Me as their Father, then they would be more aware of these traps..."
(January 19 1990)

We'll get there, Radhe, God Willing, and not only that, when we do get there, we'll look around and who shall we see there? All sorts of people we never thought would make it. Lots of people who were tricked into believing they could do it on their own. Lots of people like us, who were plain silly and fell into foolishness. On that glad day we shall not ask, "How did he get in?" Or, "Who let them in?" By that time we shall all know a great deal more about the Love of God and the ways and means by which he brings salvation to humanity. These include renunciation and repentance, sacrifice and suffering, words which mean almost nothing in our part of the world and frighten people out of their wits because they don't know how light they are when taken on in the strength of Christ, or what they accomplish. But that does does not mean they no longer exist or have lost their strength - they've just gone underground. And you know what seeds do underground, Radhe....

Take heart. There are good, Christian grounds for hope, for more 'ordinary people' than mere human reason might suppose. God has woven into His creatures, and into His Creation, ways and means of salvation that human thinking, and Satan's trickery which exploits its weakness, can never imagine.

Keep reading the Messages.

Kind regards

Br Andrew

Thanks Bro Andrew
I will try to apply your words of advice.
I seem to have a default position a habit of looking to reason as the first
port of call.

I find more peace in your way - I conclude the reason I fall prey to this Idea is lack of prayer!

I am dimly aware of Gods plan has to do with us helping those souls and those who have passed on - So I ust pray for them all the more.

God Bless You Brother Andrew

I hope I can meet you some day I have never met a soul so generous with insights and advice.

Yeah it's a tricky business trying to change people. We can get into all sorts of trouble doing so. Best to just pray for them and give them that invite. If we are not interested in the invite and refuse to be happy then thats our responsability at the end of the day.

I tend to sometimes go for the three strike rule.

Do you wanna be happy? No!!! Do you wanna be happy? NO!!! Do you wanna be happy? I SAID NO.

ok then bye bye. Smile

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong.
Just remember in the winter
far beneath the bitter snows,
it's the seed that with the Son's Love
in the Spring becomes the rose.

Bette Midler; The Rose (slightly adapted!)

"I will not desert you, I am with you all; I am with you to give you strength so that your breath does not fail you;I am with you, seedlings of Mine, and am only waiting to be gracious to you and transplant you in My garden of delights;"
(April 13 1994)

Kind regards
