    During some renovations of a room annexed to the Apostolic Nunciature in Italy, located in Via Po 27, Rome, some human bone fragments have been found, according to a statement issued by the Vatican Press Office the evening of October 30, 2018

    The Corps of the Gendarmerie promptly intervened on the spot, informing the Superiors of the Holy See who immediately informed the Italian Authorities for the appropriate investigations and the necessary collaboration in the affair.

    At present the Chief Prosecutor of Rome, Dott. Giuseppe Pignatone has delegated the Scientific Police and the Mobile Squad of the Rome Police Headquarters in order to establish their age, sex, and dating of death.
