Yes, andree, it is a joy to watch the miracle of conversion proceeding in Russia. Yesterday saw Christmas Day being celebrated there with the lengthy Midnight service being broadcast live with the Prime minister, Dmitry Medvedev and his family being present in Moscow and Putin with his family participating in a smaller location in Veliky Novgorod. A recording of the liturgy is here:

Of course the forthcoming TLIG pilgrimage to Russia highlights what is happening in Russia. Hopefully the nonsensically negative attitude to Russia that has been present for too long will change with the new administration in Washington.

Its wonderful for our Orthodox brethren to have religious freedom again. They have such a strong faith and tradition, along with devotions which can be seen in the vibrant colours of their Icons. At first I was skeptical about President Putin because of the conflict in the Ukraine - but now I read more of RT and less of the western media sensationalism. Donald Trump is certainly bringing Christianity back to America and is very supportive of Putin.

Do you have any news about the inter-religious meeting in Paris with Vassula? Here are some photos (January 5, 2017):

No, karnala, I don't have any details of the meeting which I didn't know about. The lady on the right of the pictures is Lebanese but lives in France and she will have organised the meeting (or been involved in its organisation) I think because she is very active and, of course, the Lebanese have learned many lessons in their country regarding unity. Their civil war will also have played its part in teaching them of the need to pursue unity.

A report will eventually come out about it.

I'll let you all know if I hear anymore about this meeting.

andree, since you're from France I thought you might have more information?

Wow Karnala, the news about this traveled very far & fast :)

I was able to attend the interview of inter-religious in which Vassula participated. The exchanges filled me with hope in hearing all these people from various faiths express similar positions about God. When people of faith truly seek God, they are more concerned about knowing Him, loving Him and serving Him than in duking it out with others outside the faith, or within as sadly happens within churches, including our own. I was particularly moved during the interviews to hear an Imam refer with veneration to Mary as the Holy Mother of the Word Incarnate - wow!

The interview will be available at some point in French as I understand it but hopefully there will be subtitles for English viewers. I'll post a link to the interview when I get one but as David says, hopefully there will be a report about this soon.

Sounds unusual (and miraculous) for an Islamic leader to be referring to Jesus as the Word Incarnate - don't they usually think of Jesus as a prophet (which then denies that He is the Word Incarnate) ??
I thought they usually venerate Mary as the "Mother of Jesus".

Actually, I was going to edit my post this morning because I have a doubt now whether the Imam said "incarnate" (I'm wondering it it was "incrée" in French?) I heard him say "Jésus le Verbe ...de Dieu", or Jesus the Word...of God. What he said in the dots in the middle, I have a doubt on, so I'll wait to see the video to confirm it...
