    Find your rest in Christ.

Pope Francis stressed this to Arabic-speaking pilgrims at his Sept. 12 Wednesday General Audience.

During the greetings in St. Peter’s Square, he turned to the Arabic-speaking pilgrims, “in particular those from the Middle East.”

“Dear brothers and sisters, “for freedom Christ has set us free” (Galatians 5:1). We are called to always find in Him the rest of mercy and the truth that makes us free,” he said to them.

“May the Lord bless you!” concluded the Holy Father.

During the Holy Father’s cathechesis yesterday, he reflected on Sunday rest, stressing that there are numerous “interior prisons” that make us slaves.

“The true slave,” he said, “is he who knows not rest, it’s he who is incapable of loving,” because of his “ego.”
