We have a strong presence of Orthodox in Australia .... and this was on SBS last year before the arrival of Patriarch of Coptic Orthodox Church, Pope Tawadros II .... and its now on the Russian Faith website.

It's no surprise that reporters struggle to make sense of a country which, in direct opposition to the rest of the modern world, insists that having strong families and traditional moral values is key for personal happiness and national success, a country where people dunk into iced-over lakes and have 18 children to witness to their faith.

However, this news segment from Australian national broadcaster (SBS) isn’t as blatantly antagonistic as is typical. It provides a more nuanced perspective, refraining from overtly presenting Russia and Christianity as evil forces that aim to destroy the sacred liberal values of equality, feminism and tolerance....

Really interesting video, karnala! Well balanced also!

In viewing this on YouTube I encountered the following video which comes from the same filmakers.

I didn't realise it was produced by the same people - SBS is an Australian TV news channel.

The Orthodox always talk about "the beast" .... like at the end of your youtube: And I saw ... them that had overcome the beast singing the canticle of Moses and the canticle of the Lamb.
They will say, how can you talk about the Second Coming of Christ and not talk about the beast, who will be here before this happens.

I hope I'm not posting too often - there's so much happening worldwide - and I wanted to add something to my above post. The Orthodox say, how can you talk about the Second Coming of Christ and not talk about the reign of the Anti-Christ.
The Orthodox Church in Greece is also telling them not to accept or sign any type of Identification papers or cards. A Greek friend of mine says she has changed banks because of this.

Now I'm reading that Papua New Guinea is still trying to register all its citizens in a central database and issue them with photo cards for voting and identification. This concerns me because of EU activities in Papua New Guinea.

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-06-27/png-national-identification-program/9912590?utm_source=sfmc&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=:8935&user_id=57fcffd7bdfbb3fc21972ecd5e03c96c0a9cbefb341ec65c84978fce293d205f&WT.tsrc=email&WT.mc_id=Email||8935&utm_content=ABCNewsmail_topstories_articlelink

Papua New Guinea's Planning Minister has defended the country's controversial national identification (NID) program amid allegations of corruption and mismanagement.... PNG citizens will need the card to get a mobile phone sim, a driver's licence or a passport. In the next election, the cards will be needed to vote and those living along the PNG-Indonesian border will also need a national ID card to go into West Papua....

Karnala, I think it is not that you are posting too much but some posts maybe encourage us to worry about things which have little to do with the great messages of True Life in God and what they are telling us. Papua New Guinea trying to register all its citizens in a central database, maybe connected with the EU, seems a little distant from what should be concerning us.

Maybe its because I'm starting to worry. I worry about my children and grandchildren, because my family (who didn't like me converting to Catholic) have tried to turn them against their faith.
The Orthodox post a lot about the EU, ID cards, etc on TLIG facebook; and I wanted to share what my Orthodox friends have been saying about the reign of the Antichrist too.
Most don't understand that Orthodox prophecy is also unfolding, and when I say to my Orthodox friend I can't wait until Unity, she says we already have Unity of the Heart.

I apologise if I caused any distress to others members, as I'd rather be strengthening our Unity so we'll remain standing at the moment of the storm (Lectio Divina reading, Mt 7:24-27). God becomes our source of security when we seek to do His will. There He will be the rock which supports us in the moments of difficulty and storm. “Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock....”

No apologies necessary Karnala. Those topics that you post about are signs of the times and we need to be aware of them to a certain extent. The EU tentacles extend to so many nations and the politics everywhere seem to be so clearly "collectivist" - or however one wants to call it. Basically many of us in so-called "free" nations are just inches away from being communist, only most don't know it yet! How much longer will it be before people see what Our Lady meant about the spreading of errors?

But the Lord is giving us His Word necessary to remain in Christ and that is the only place where we can find peace. He'll come to us when we call Him and bring us His peace. And I believe that Our Lady will intercede for our loved ones, especially if we consecrate them to Her.

Lately I have been thinking about Medjugorje and the fact that people in that enclave had maintained their faith despite being in a communist nation. Those early years of Medjugorje seem important for us to understand. And look at what that small faithful population has given the world through Our Lady's intercession. I think this is a sign of things to come.

Thanks Andree, I consecrated myself and my children when I converted. At least I can still talk with them about Guardian Angels, etc and pray pray praying one day they'll return to the sacraments before its too late.
Even in the region of Australia there are territorial disputes in the South China Sea by communist China.
Talking about Medjugorje - Croatia is also in the news more because of the World Cup Soccer - sorry Andree but I think Croatia are going to win against France this year:

Croatian Coach Prays the Rosary for his Team and Entrusts all to God!

World Cup football (soccer) coach Zlatko Dalic, for the Croatian team, is a devout Catholic who prays the Rosary, even during the matches. The Croatian football team reached the World Cup final on Wednesday evening, after beating England for the first time. The team has a new coach since last October and he is now considered the coaching discovery of the World Cup. Dalic is a devout Catholic who prays the rosary every day. Even during a game he has the rosary always with him. In an interview he mentioned his faith; "Everything I've achieved in my life and in my career, I owe my faith, I'm very grateful to the Lord," he told Croatian radio stations. "If a man loses hope, then he must rely on the merciful God and our faith."

Interesting comment about communism. On the other hand, you might say many countries in Europe (Italy, Denmark), and the US, are just steps away from authoritarianism. Basically, I think it is slippery to say one country or another is doing it right. There are a lot of evils out there, right now.
